Easy Peasy Strawberries Pie

Hello everyone!

Here is still snowing! I can´t believe we are in the middle of March and we don´t have Spring signs...yet. The good thing is that maybe in Spain is super sunny, I'm saying that because I bought super tasty strawberries and can you guess where are they from?? yap Spain.
So I maybe can't have sun but at least strawberries, here I share a super easy recipe to make a pie with them!

Ingredients:
200g Strawberries
200 ml cream
4 soup spoons of sugar
Dough:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, (spooned and leveled)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
16 tablespoons cold (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1/4 to 1/2 cup ice water

How I did it:

Dough

  1. In a food processor, combine flour, salt, and sugar; pulse to combine. Add butter; pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal, with just a few pea-size pieces of butter remaining.
  2. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup ice water. Pulse until dough is crumbly but holds together when squeezed with fingers (if necessary, add up to 1/4 cup more water, 1 tablespoon at a time). To help ensure a flaky crust, do not overprocess.
  3. Transfer half of dough (still crumbly) onto a piece of plastic wrap. Form dough into a disk 3/4 inch thick; wrap tightly in plastic. Refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hour (and up to 3 days). Repeat with remaining dough. (Disks can be frozen, tightly wrapped, up to 3 months. Thaw before using.) Makes 2 disks.
Filling

Put cream, and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and beat until soft peaks begin to form. Cover and refrigerate until fil the pie dough. cut strawberries and put them on top of the chantilly cream.
Keep in the fridge for a couple of hours before serving.

I hope you enjoy!!

Weekend activities

This weekend I had visits, a friend of mine and her two daughters came over to see the Carnival in Cologne. The weather was fine and it was a good weekend, we made sightseeing and also some crafts, and because the two girls were redecorating their room in Indie style we decide to make this pillow!

I think it looks so cute, and the girls were so proud because they made it only with a little help!
Have a nice day

Kindergarten happy hour - Homemade Play Dough

Today I would like to write you about kids, as I said a few times here, I'm kindergarten teacher and love be surrounded by these little fellows that make my day with a simple smile.
In my class room I like to try new ideas and make new thing but because I normally have the little ones (1 - 3 Years) not always is easy find the right activity. So I decide to share with you some ideas here in the blog.

Today the post is about play dough I make mine at home, is really simple and easy and the kids love it. The best part is that if by accident they eat the play dough it´s not a problem because it's made with natural ingredients.

How I do it :

Mix the dry ingredients in a saucepan
Whisk in the water over low heat
Mix in the lemon juice
Pour in the oil
Continue to mix over low heat until it forms a play dough texture
Split up the dough, and knead in the food colour (when it’s cool enough to touch)

If you try it I would love to hear from you

Wonderland Friday

Hello little snowflakes,

It's snowing outside everything is covered with a white fluffy blanket, so it's time to seat inside, drink a hot chocolate and dream...
Today I would like to share some really useful information about the story that we all know, Little Red Riding  Wood.
Did you know that it origin is French and the story has been changed considerably in its history and subject to numerous modern adaptations and readings. The story was first published by Charles Perrault.
At the moment the TV series Once Upon a Time (I´m addicted!!!) has a different version that I invite every one of you to see :)

I would like to show you my version of the main character, what do you think?

Have a nice weekend!
